“Papa Kourand is a 75-years-old man living in the countryside of Brazzaville, Congo.
He plays music with an instrument called ‘Sanza’ that he builds with wood from the forest and small metal strips. 

Papa Kourand believes in God. Through his music, he celebrates the beauties of the world.

Papa Kourand is old, poor, unfamous. His skin is black. He never got interest from the big bosses who run the music industry.

We, Secousse, think and work differently. Papa Kourand is a happy man and a talented artist. We chose him for President this year. Our home in Paris, Le Comptoir Général, will become his campaign office.

We hope that many people will buy his song ‘Tout Restera Ici Bas’. We hope he will become famous all around the world. That many artists will follow his footsteps. And that through him, thanks to you, tomorrow will be a better day.”
